Because I feel like it!

I shall resist the overwhelming urge to rant about the CWG like everyone else, simply because I don’t have the inclination to waste my words or thought on a futile endeavour. Besides, it really doesn’t affect me much now that I’ve long given up on news and other bits of random information and trivia labelled under ‘current awareness’. However, I do love the break for even though it doesn’t make much of a difference to my own schedule, it does mean that the few people whom I actually like to meet happen to be available. Yes, I do feel happy when I think about it – knowing a few good people in the rut of this world. But seriously, “Come out and play”? I mean really? Come out and play?

Another random day, another much-planned outing with scarce good friends, and another national holiday (for all practical purposes, just a dry day) – Gandhi’s birthday – FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!

--- ---

Here’s a cliché – ‘Your characteristic DELHI EXPERIENCE’ – Well, mine has to be travelling through high-traffic streets and cluttered bylanes on the backseat of a cycle rickshaw; an ineffable experience!

--- ---

Smoke is a must watch for the ending sequence if nothing else – you’ll have to watch it to know what I mean. The most heart-warming and just about perfect ending/add-on I’ve seen in a movie for a while.

Also, Flashbacks of a Fool – nothing special about this one except for this one song I discovered thanks to the movie – If there is something by Roxy Music. There’s just something about this track which clicked, really.

Regarding life, it trundles on amidst all the drugs and sudden social activity. My family is leaving for a week though. Yeeeeheeehahahahaha!

--- ---

Finally, I guess I could make an exception for this one time – Happy Birthday John!
